Jilly Tinniswood

Jilly Tinniswood is a practising artist living in Wales. Her career path had been originally in Psychiatry where she used art as another form of vocabulary for her clients to expression themselves. The experiences from her training as a mental health professional has given her own work a layering in its development and complexity.

She works primarily in mixed recycled materials to create textural 2D and 3D sculptural pieces using a technique she has developed herself. In an effort to encourage more recycling in art Jilly regularly accepts invitations to schools and other higher educational facilities to talk about her experiences as a practicing artist and the choice she has made to work environmentally friendly.
